Volunteers commit for at least one full volunteer term; if you need to consider any other arrangement please let us know this when you first apply. The beginning of each term is given over to orientation and ESOL training, so it is especially important that all volunteers are able to begin on the first day of the term. Volunteers have a small number of vacation days which can be used for time away at any point during their first term — three vacation days during the spring and fall terms, and two days during the summer term. Some volunteers continue at Jubilee for several terms, and we have a process for considering that possibility during the course of a volunteer’s first term.
